Kevin Stroupe, PhD
Dr. Stroupe’s research interests include the health economics of chronic illness, cost-effectiveness of healthcare treatments, and healthcare policy. He has led or participated in VA and NIH-funded projects to examine the cost-effectiveness of healthcare treatments and health policy. He has examined the cost-effectiveness of interventions for patients with health failure, pharmacy-based patient-management interventions for patients with heart failure and hypertension, and dialysis care options for patients with end stage renal disease. Additionally, he has investigated healthcare utilization and costs for Veterans with disabilities, and he has examined the impact of changes in health insurance coverage, including prescription drug coverage, on healthcare use across systems of care.
