Lisa Burkhart, PhD, RN, ANEF is a Health Scientist in the Center of Innovation for Complex Chronic Healthcare and Associate Professor at the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing, Loyola University Chicago. She is currently PI on an HSR&D-funded study, entitled “Engaging Patients and Providers in Identifying and Addressing Modifiable Risk Factors to Prevent Community-Acquired Ulcers in Veterans with SCI,” to create a decision support tool that identifies risk factors, actions and resources needed to prevent community-acquired pressure injuries for use in outpatient spinal cord injury. At Loyola, she coordinates VA site initiatives on a HRSA-funded grant to develop primary care nursing education and practice (PI- Solari-Twadell).
