Lisa Burkhart, PhD, RN, ANEF is a Health Scientist in the Center of Innovation for Complex Chronic Healthcare and Professor at the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing, Loyola University Chicago. Her research focus is preventive care in the community using technologies. She is currently PI on an HSR-funded study, entitled “Implementing a Decision Support Tool to Prevent Community-Acquired Pressure Injury in Spinal Cord Injury in the Spinal Cord Injury Clinic,” to implement a decision support tool (called the CAPP-FIT) that identifies risk factors, resources needed, and actions to prevent community-acquired pressure injuries for use in the spinal cord injury clinic. She is also PI on an OCC-funded study to evaluate and compare patient generated health data platforms using wearable technology in community-dwelling Veterans with spinal cord injury.
